Client Centered

As your LPL Financial Planner, we will work with you to identify your goals and address your concerns so your investments are managed for distributions when and as you require them. For example, many of our clients include the following as priorities:

  • protecting their family
  • maintaining their lifestyle
  • preparing for unexpected events
  • planning ahead for college
  • engaging in philanthropy
  • maximizing social security income
  • creating a financial legacy

I will tell you the secret to getting rich on Wall Street. You try to be greedy when others are fearful. And you try to be fearful when others are greedy.
— Warren Buffett

We’re here to answer any and all questions, like when you should start taking money from your retirement accounts (IRAs, 401ks, pension benefits).  We will also talk with you about various investment philosophies:

Active vs. Passive  hiring active mutual fund managers vs. buying index funds

Strategic vs. Tactical – buy and hold vs. moving in and out of the market

Traditional vs. Alternative – stocks/bonds/cash investments vs. non-traded or illiquid investments

A well-diversified portfolio will usually have a good mix of the three.  Risk tolerance, time frames for use of certain funds, market biases, and personal goals, will all play a part as to what products and programs are appropriate for you.  Based on your objectives it may be important to consider the assets under management approach.  These are programs offered without front-end loads or back-end surrender charges; they are assessed with ongoing management and advisory fees, charged quarterly.  To help meet certain lifestyle obligations, insurance or annuity products with lifetime guarantees or fixed rates of returns may make sense for a piece of your portfolio, too.

Please know that each recommendation will be thoroughly discussed and illustrated in your financial plan so you can see how the different strategies work together to make your plan viable.

Portfolio construction and risk management are key to getting you where you need to be within your risk tolerance.
